Our Ice Cream Parlor and plant are designed to be very environmentally friendly. The production plant utilizes energy-efficient lighting, refrigeration and a heat recovery system.
The driveway is formed of layers of porous concrete and crushed stone completely eliminating water runoff. Landscaping helps block noise pollution and provides multiple gardens and a walking trail for visitors to enjoy. The new garden will also supply ingredients for ice cream flavors: lavender, rosemary, sage, rhubarb, blueberry bushes, sour cherry trees, fig trees as well as annual herbs grow on the property. Snoqualmie Gourmet was the first business to receive the official approval from the Snohomish County Sustainable Development Task Force for it’s environmentally-friendly operation.
